Wedding StationeryNow that you have chosen your invitaiton design, you will need to decide what matching stationery pieces you need. With so many items to choose from, it may seem like an overwhelming challenge, but choosing the correct pieces will not only aid you in having a great wedding planning experience, but will also give your guests an occassion to remember.

Sizes and prices are not displayed, as each piece will be designed to match the style of your invitation.

Here are some common as well as some unique pieces for you to choose from and a brief description of their purpose.

Response Card
Response Card
Is included with each invitation and is a means for each guest to accept or decline the invitation to the wedding. It includes a space for the guest to write their names and the number of guests they will be bringing. A Response card should date several weeks before the wedding, ensuring that you have enough time to notify your banquet hall of the number of attendees. Placing a stamp on the response card envelope will increase the percentage of response cards that you receive back.
Save-the-date Card
Save-the-Date Card
Is used to notify out-of-town guests of the date or your wedding, well in advance. This allows guests sufficient time to make travel and accommodation arrangements. Save-the-date card information may vary depending on what you need to let your guests know. You may have only the date chosen and not the location, you may have made special arrangements with a local hotel for discounted rates, etc. A formal invitation should still be sent when all the final arrangements have been made.
Accommodations Card
Accommodations Card
Is used to inform out-of-town guests of convenient lodgings, dining and amenities in the vicinty of the church and\or reception hall. You may want to include some rates at the local hotels and reservation numbers for them.
Announcement Card
Announcement Card
Is a notification of your marriage to people who are not being invited to the ceremony or the reception. Often budget or banquet hall restrictions will disclude people from your invitation list. An announcement card is a nice way to let them know that you are getting married.
Reception Card
Reception Card
Is generally included with your invitation if the ceremony and the reception are being held in two different locations. The invitation would state the name and address of the ceremony, while the reception card would state the name and address of the reception hall.
Maps and Directions
Map
Are custom designed to fit your needs. It may be a map for out-of-town guests to get from the airport to the hotel including a reservation phone number and rates of the rooms. It may be a map for guests to get from the church to the reception hall. We will do our best to design a map to suit whatever purpose.
Directions
Are another alternative to a map, they are written in lieu of a diagram.
Rainy Day
Rainy-day Card
If you are having an outdoor wedding, it is a good idea to include a rain card. The card would include such information as an alternate time and/or location of the ceremony in case of bad weather, and perhaps a phone number they can call to confirm a change in the time or location.
Within-the-Ribbon or Pew Card
Within-the-Ribbon or Pew Card
Is used to indicate to honored guests that they are to be seated in a special section near the front of the church in reserved pews that have ribbons or cords placed over the ends .To assist the ushers in seating these guests, pew cards are presented containing the pew number. They can be included with the invitations or sent to the guest after they have responded with an acceptance to the wedding.
Ceremony Program
Ceremony Program
Serves the very important and practical purpose of providing the invited guests with a basic idea about the order of the Wedding Events. It also ensures the delivery of perfect details of the people, times and locations of the various events to unfold at the wedding ceremony.
Menu Card
Menu Card
In these times of great awareness and issues with food choices, a menu is almost a necessity to inform your guests of the meal and choices you are offering. They can be used at individual place settings or as a framed display element on each table. If you are having a buffet-style dinner, a menu is not as necessary, but you may still want to offer a menu listing the buffet choices and beverages that are offered.
Table # Cards
Table # Card
Identifies the table number to the guests, making it easy for them to seat themselves. They will know what table number they are to go to either by the seating chart or the escort cards that you have provided for them.
Place Cards
Place Cards
Identify the guests' specific seating arrangements and come in many different styles. Tent folded place cards stand on their own, while flat place cards may be put in holders, rings for around the napkins, cards that sit on the rim of a glass or attatch to the glass stem, you can even combine your favor tag with your place card. .
Whatever style you choose, you will ensure your guests are seated next to individuals they know or who you feel would enjoy one another's company.
Mini-menu and Place Cards
Mini-menu / Place Card
Kill two birds with one stone using this quaint little mini-menu that can either sit on the guest’s plate or set on the rim of a glass. Every mini-menu can be printed with a guest's name, eliminating the need for place cards.
Escort Cards
Escort Cards
Are placed outside the reception space and direct guests to their respective tables. The guests' names are handwritten or printed on the envelope and the appropriate table number is written on the enclosed card. It is acceptable to use a tent card to direct guests to their tables with the name on the front and the table number inside or outside. Each couple should receive one, as well as individuals without an escort or guest should receive one.
Seating Chart
Seating Chart
Is placed outside the reception space and directs guests to their respective tables. Usually displayed alphabetically or by table numbers. A chart is often used in place of Escort Cards when space in the hallway or foyer is limited or if there are other items you want to point out. Showing the location of the gift table, dessert table, drink stand or washrooms, for example, will help elimate confusion and make your guests feel comfortable.
At-Home Card
At-Home Card
In the tradition of the bride and groom returning from their honeymoon to their first home together, at home cards contain the newly married couple's address. When receiving an at home card, guests should know to wait and send gifts after the date given on the card. At home cards may be sent with the invitations, with the announcements, or on their own.
Gift-Received Card
Gift-Received Card
In the case that you will not be able to send thank you notes promptly, cards acknowledging receipt of gifts should be sent. They are not personalized, so all you need to do is address the envelope and write the proper thank you note at a later date. These are used when there are a large number of guests invited, or an extended honeymoon is planned.
Thank-you Card
Thank-You Card
Wedding thank you cards are one of the most dreaded tasks of a wedding. Most people get stumped on what to say, particularly when you don't know the person well, or when you just didn't like the wedding gift. Make it easy on yourself by ordering a standard card with your names printed on the front, and a warm note on the inside with some blank space for you to personalize.
Favor Tags
Favor Tags
Come in all shapes and sizes depending on the invitation you have chosen. They make a fantastic addition to guest favors or Wedding Party gifts. You can even have them individualized and use them as place cards.
Book Mark
Book Mark
Has your names and wedding date at the top, and a poem or scripture of your choice underneath. It makes a great gift for guests, friends and family.
Marriage Certificate
Marriage Certificate
Is not authentic, but makes a great keepsake to hang on the wall, or to give to friends and family as a memento of your wonderful day.
